D13T H4X

by KiTap

A month ago I took a look at some of the fitness games out in the industry and tried to remind everyone that new years resolutions are usually given up on by February. Now Ive got a tech review on a little piece of equipment that Ive geeked out over since I got it. In keeping with the fitness theme, today I give to you, the bodybuggSP which has made weight management feel like its been given a game genie enema. If youve caught an episode of NBCs The Biggest Loser then you might be familiar with this little piece of technology. The bodybuggSP is worn on the upper left forearm where it collects/crunches/and delivers your daily calorie burn with an algorithm(with over 90% accuracy). It does this through four fancy sciency variables.

Think Geek: USS Enterprise Pizza Cutter

by Staub

Pizza: the final frontier. We here at Nerd Blerp had another gift sent to us from Think Geek. This little Device is the a Pizza Cutter shaped as a replica of the USS Enterprise from Star Trek. This tool is great to use and incredibly fun! We even got to do a little unboxing, and a live demo with real pizza! The pizza cutter is large and, though a little hard to handle at first, you get used to it in no time at all. We all think that this is a great novelty item, and want to thank Think Geek for shipping it out to us. Live long and prosper.

Sexuality and Gaming

by KiTap

As technology continues to jump forward in leaps and bounds, the gaming community has been presented with a variety of cool new devices, doohickeys, gadgets, gizmos, and peripherals aplenty for whatever system one may currently own. As with any new creation, the world of pornography and sexual media is always trying to get in on the action in any way that it can. Quite frankly, its one of the few industries that has always taken a risk in trying new things before many others even dare ponder the thought. If you dont know what I mean, Id suggest taking a glance at the article found here (Dont worry folks there isnt anything NSFW).

Think Geek Camera Shirt: Video Review

by Staub

Mike and Craig take a look at Think Geek's Spy Camera Shirt. If you are unfamilar with Think Geek, they are a website (www.thinkgeek.com) dedicated to selling novelty items from Ton-Ton sleeping bags, to some of the coolest nerd treats available.

Our first item is the Spy Camera Shirt. This fashionable T-Shirt comes complete with a camera built in. Perfect for taking pictures when you're not supposed to! This shirt has a great print, and (obviously) a very cool added feature. The pictures come out fairly well, and are perfect for the no facebook pictures party. You can utilize this as a novelty item, or if you want to be extra sneaky. We loved this shirt, even if it only has one usage. Big thanks to the folks over at Think Geek for sending this out to us. You should totally check out their site and pick up some of these excellent items. Later this week stay tuned for the USS Enterprise Pizza Cutter!

Mac App Store Claims Another Victim

by Yosh

Just moments ago I went and updated my lovely MacBook Pro with the new and shiny update of OS X 10.6.6 and figured I'd give it's newest feature - the Mac App Store - a look.

As of this moment I'm declaring the Mac App Store EVIL! Unlike the iTunes store, the Mac Apps Store does not prompt you with a message Are you sure you want to purchase this? Instead it just goes and downloads it right away, charging your credit card immediately. And so my browsing and clicking has now turned into an $80 purchase followed by a frenzy of emails to Apple support and the developers of the program I downloaded. To add insult to injury I'm not ever getting a new application; I already own a legitimate copy.

Checking in with the internet it seems that I'm not alone. Many people on Twitter and Mac message boards have been complaining of accidental purchases. Even though everything I've read leads me to believe that I will get a full refund, this is still an awful situation. For nowI'd recommend that until Apple patches the Mac App Store that people be VERY careful of where they click. You might find that you just bought yourself $100 in programs because you sneezed while holding the mouse.

Daily Blerps: The Playstation Phone

by Staub

No, this is not a mock-up, or the PSP2. The device pictured above is Sony's new Playstation Phone. It is: One part Sony Ericsson and one part PSP.

The PSPhone as reported by Engadget is slated to hit the marketplace soon. We're not totally sure what to expect from this media device, but Engadget also reports that the phone will most likely utilize the Android 3.0 system along with Sony's Marketplace. You can expect some original content to be developed exclusively for the PSPhone. So we may see some of Sony's most popular franchises hit this all-in-one device. As shown in the picture, the classic Sony buttons are represented, and the phone does resemble the PSPGo. Now, what about the specs?:

The PSPhone is utilizing a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 1GB of ROM. There is a small touch-pad in the center that should support multitouch. As for the screen it is between 3.7 to 4.1 inches. The PSPhone will not utilize a memory card slot, but will support MicroSD.

Sony is shooting for a 2010 release, but reports have stated that the phone is relatively buggy, and we can probably expect the PSPhone to hit store shelves sometime in 2011. Check out some of the first pictures of the PSPhone via Engadget

Mimobots: Designer USB Flash Drives

by Mitz

If there is one thing people love to do, its to collect things. People collect all sorts of random nonsense, so why not add something functional to the list? That is where Mimobots comes in: Designer USB Flash drives that are cute with a purpose.

Mimico, who has recently celebrated its five-year anniversary, created Mimobots. Based in Boston, the company found its start at San Diego Comic Con, where this year it re-released some of the original line of drives in new color schemes. Microsoft Rides the Rainbow

by ElectricSheep

I used to associate rainbows with extremely frightening children, and/or overly phallic mythological creatures (don't judge me!); however, not too long ago, my infantile views on the matter were torn asunder, due to one man and his visceral affinity for nature:Paul Vasquez. Though, you may know him as:
