Microsoft Rides the Rainbow

I used to associate rainbows with extremely frightening children, and/or overly phallic mythological creatures (don't judge me!); however, not too long ago, my infantile views on the matter were torn asunder, due to one man and his visceral affinity for nature: Paul Vasquez. Though, you may know him as:


Now, you may wonder how Microsoft relates to an iconic internet figure, or just rainbows altogether. Well, in classic corporate fashion, Microsoft employed our friend (the rainbow chaser) to reenact his once overwhelmingly emotional performance, in order to peddle their Windows Live Photo Gallery. What can only be described as the most contrived and constipated performance ever committed by an overweight woodsman, the Double Rainbow Man is shown to be fiddling about with his camera, while spouting the most memorable lines from his original video. The commercial culminates with DRM tinkering  on a laptop, to the sound of a suave Keanu Reeves impersonator coughing up generic phlegm about how this program isn't entirely a piece of shit (to be fare, I've never used it, but I'm sure it's terrible anyway).

At this point, the only way 'interweb funnies' could have less allure, would be if I were to open them in a forwarded chain email, sent from my own mother.
